Mesothelioma, commonly known as asbestos cancer, is a rare form of cancer that is the result of exposure to asbestos, a fibrous material that was used in thousands of products until the 1980s. Simply put, asbestos causes Mesothelioma. Mesothelioma is a type of cancer where tumors form in the lining of the lungs (pleura), abdomen (peritoneum), or heart (pericardium).
